Call Forwarding lets you transfer your incoming calls automatically to any other telephone you can dial within the continental U.S.A. without the assistance of an operator.
When someone answers at the forwarded number, Call Forwarding is put into effect.
If there's no answer, or the line is busy, hang up and repeat the previous steps. If you do this within two minutes, you'll hear two beeps meaning your Call Forwarding feature is in effect.
Once you've activated Call Forwarding, the phone will make one short ring each time a call is forwarded. However, you can still make outgoing calls from this phone.
If you wish to change the number your calls are being transferred to, just discontinue the first (see below), and redirect your calls using the above steps.
To Discontinue Call Forwarding:
Listen for two beeps. Call Forwarding is now discontinued.
Call Forwarding Busy Line - Residential $1.50/month - Business $2.25/month
Automatically routes calls to a preselected telephone number at another location whenever your line is busy. When ordered, you specify the preselected telephone number to receive your calls, and it is programmed in the telephone company's central office. If the telephone number your calls are forwarded to is busy, the caller will receive a busy tone.
Call Forwarding No Answer - Residential $1.50/month - Business $2.25/month
Automatically routes calls placed to your number that are not answered within a designated number of rings to another preselected telephone number. When ordered, you specify the preselected telephone number to receive your calls, and it is programmed in the telephone company's central office.
Things To Remember
Call Forwarding continues until you cancel it from your telephone.
You can still make outgoing calls from your telephone while Call Forwarding is established.
A short ring will be heard whenever your number is called to remind you your telephone calls are forwarded. You cannot answer these calls.
If other persons use your telephone, let them know when incoming calls are being forwarded-especially if they are expecting an important call.
Don't forget to tell the person who will receive your calls that you are using Call Forwarding-especially if you will not be where your calls will be forwarded.
You pay applicable charges, if any, for calls forwarded from your telephone.
