Health Care
- Five medical facilities staffed with competent medical doctors, chiropractors, home health agency, dentist, mental health services, one assisted living facility, and one nursing home along with the local public health center meet the medical needs of the community.
- Adequate emergency medical ambulance service is provided by Hutcheson Medical Center and Memorial Hospital. The county has a 911 address system that aids emergency people in getting to locations as quickly as possible.

Dade County Library
- May, 1989 the Dade County Library on the square opened its doors. The facility is designed for future growth by simply adding a second floor to the inside.
- The library currently contains 22,000 volumes, including current best sellers as well as the classic and traditional favorites of young and old.
- Periodicals, research materials, internet access to the World Wide Web and several choices of encyclopedias make it a valuable asset to students in the area.
